One serving contains 0.8g of your
daily requirement of 1.5-2.4g of plant stanols
- 25g Benecol® Buttery Spread
- 2 large field mushrooms
- 4 medium tomatoes, halved
- 2 x 75g slices dark rye bread
Preheat the grill to medium. Line a grill pan with foil. Dot the mushrooms with half the Benecol® Buttery Spread and season with black pepper. Place under the grill with the tomatoes, cut side up and grill for 8-10 minutes until soft.
Add the rye bread to the grill pan and toast, turning once until crispy.
To serve spread the rye toast with the remaining Benecol® Buttery Spread and top with the mushrooms and tomatoes and any pan juices.
If you prefer, serve the mushrooms and tomatoes on top of granary or wholemeal toast.
